The Engino Robotics Sequel Program provides the participants with a gateway into the world of robotics and programming. After we have assembled models integrating an engine, such as racing cars, cranes, aircraft, bridges, helicopters, dinosaurs, elevators and windmills, we will take another step forward and together we will transform the models into robots that are capable of operating according to pre-determined orders and environmental stimuli!! The participants will experience the world of robotics through creative thinking, problem solving, laws of physics and programming a controller that will impart to the robot capabilities to react, by means of sensors, to lightness/darkness, identification of colors on the action surface, traverse borders and distinctive obstacles and this is just the beginning! The children of the 21st century were born into the computerized world where there is a computer in every home, a cellular telephone in every pocket, tablet computers, music-players and screens in every corner – the information revolution can be seen in every direction. The rate at which new technology is being created is more rapid than ever before and it is no longer a matter of generations but just years and sometimes even months until we experience and their revolutionary and pioneering innovation. We want to teach the children and provide them with the tools to succeed to cope with the challenges inherent in the professions that will only be generated in the future. This program lays another stepping-stone towards STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) education. This time we are delving into the world of code and programming our models. The Robotics Program was developed in recent years by a team of engineers and educators to enrich the knowledge base in the areas of engineering, technology and programming. The children will be exposed to computer programming, the manner in which machines can receive a structured series of actions, and programming with the assistance of special controllers that connect to the engineering models that we will build during each lesson. The Program will be taught by very experienced instructors, with extensive resumes of working with children, after undergoing in-depth training and certification by the TH!NK Company Ltd. Most of the program’s instructors are students in one of the fields of engineering or education. The Program is taught with stringent attention to safety measures in accordance with a yearly program constructed and developed by the TH!NK Company in cooperation with leading engineers and developers of training equipment in the world. During the course of the year we will hold a highlight evening of joint parents-children activities during which the participants who had built and studied the machines and the development of technology during the year will present before their parents selected models from the yearly program. |
