TH!INK chef are meetings with diverse content, the program is given during the academic year. Participants are exposed to the world of cooking, familiarize with using kitchen equipment, smart eating and nutritional values, preparing a wide range of foods with wonderful tastes and aromas, all mentored with humor and care.
Meetings are divided into two parts:
Part One (about 20 min)
In-depth explanations of the week’s topic. Familiarization with the ingredients. Understanding the procedures and processes. Reading, understanding and planning according to a recipe.
Part Two (about 40 min)
Learning correct use of cooking equipment. Cooking while learning about the processes, and producing a finished food. Bon appetite!
Added value in the TH!NK Chef Program
The program develops independence, teaches how to estimate, the importance of good nutrition, nutritional values of foods, the role of vitamins, the scientific processes behind food preparation, learning about the food categories, and many more.
Every participant will wear the “Thinking Chef” tag at the end of the year, knowing she or he can prepare a large number of foods. Participants will learn the importance of food’s components as well as the world of molecular cooking which is a fast growing field in recent years. During the year we’ll learn how to: chop and combine different kinds of salads, pizza, cakes, spaghetti dishes, chocolate treats, ethnic dishes, ice creams and more.
The program is led by mentors highly experienced in working with children and who undergo in-depth training in the field of cooking. The program is strictly supervised and all precautions are taken relevant to each meeting’s topic, coordinated and guided by TH!NK Ltd and a clinical nutritionist with rich experience.
During the year we will hold a special evening session – a joint activity for parents and children. Program participants will host their parents and offer a delicious array of foods demonstrating what they have learned throughout the year.
